Titans WR Julio Jones Designated To Return From Injured Reserve

Titans receiver Julio Jones has been designated to return from injured reserve, the team announced on Monday.

Jones, 32, has been on injured reserve with a hamstring injury since Nov. 13. He’s missed the last three games for Tennessee and has missed five overall in his first season in Nashville.

Jones was acquired in the offseason from the Falcons for a 2022 second-round pick and a 2023 fourth-round pick. In six games, Jones has 21 receptions for 336 yards with no touchdowns. He’s been anything but healthy, as was the case in his last season in Atlanta.

Jones was sidelined for seven games last season dealing with the same nagging hamstring problems. He was still productive, however, recording 51 receptions for 771 yards and three touchdowns.

The Titans (8-4) have dropped two in a row to the Texans and Patriots as the offense has struggled without Jones, fellow receiver A.J. Brown and running back Derrick Henry. Brown missed the New England game with a chest injury and was placed on injured reserve. Henry has been out since Week 9 after having right foot surgery, though he could return in January.

Without the trio against the Patriots, quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed just 11-of-21 passes for 93 yards with one touchdown and one interception. No pass catcher had more than two receptions.

The Titans will host the Jaguars (2-10) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on CBS.
