Titans Set To Announce Big Attendance News (UPDATE)

The Tennessee Titans will announce today that, starting in October, fans will be allowed to attend games at Nissan Stadium, according to Outkick founder Clay Travis. Under this plan, the first game to allow fans would be an October 4 game against the Steelers. It’s unclear at this time how many fans will be allowed to attend the October 4 game.

Attendance plans are also in place on Rocky Top where the Vols will allow approximately 25,000 fans to attend games when the SEC season starts. This Saturday night, Bristol Motor Speedway will have 30,000 fans in attendance for the Bass Pro Shops NRA night race. In Memphis, Tigers games will also allow fans in the stands.

Mayor John Cooper is expected to make the Titans attendance news during a Thursday press conference.

Update: Titans attendance will increase incrementally by the week until maxing out at a possible 14,500 figure.

Oct. 4 vs. Steelers: approximately 7,000

Oct. 11 vs. Bills: approximately 8,600

Oct. 18 vs. Texans: approximately 10,400

After that, the attendance figure could reach the 14,500 level. Mayor John Cooper also announced “all bars and limited-service restaurants can operate at 50% capacity with social distancing beginning Friday,” according to News4 Nashville. “A maximum of 50 patrons per floor and 50 patrons in an outside dining area. Cooper also announced that restaurants could remain open until 11 p.m.”

    • No kidding! Here’s the thing. People who are worried simply won’t come to the games, so why can’t we allow people who understand the minor risk Covid poses to attend of their own free will? Who’s going to go to a game against their will?

  1. What science was used to decide 14,500 is the max? That’s 21.1% capacity, so kind of a weird percentage to arrive at? What happens at 28.4%, or 52.3%, or 77.8%? Was the science someone throwing a dart at a board full of numbers to get that number? This is all bovine fecal matter.

According to a Nashville Fox story that might very well be what Cooper’s been doing all along. They are lying about the covid numbers in Nashville.
