Jaguars Considering Tim Tebow -- As A Tight End

Tim Tebow may be returning the NFL, though not as a quarterback. Instead, he may return so that he can block and catch passes from another quarterback, surefire No. 1 overall draft pick Trevor Lawrence.

In other words, if Tebow does return to the NFL, he will do so as a tight end, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

It's true. According to Rapoport, Tebow recently worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars and that "there has been at least some discussion of him signing."

Tebow, 33, hasn't played an NFL snap in nearly a decade, ending his career on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad in 2015 -- or so we thought. His most memorable NFL moment came when he threw a touchdown pass in overtime of a playoff game to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. That happened way back in 2012.

The Jaguars finished 1-15 last season, but they have since hired Urban Meyer as head coach and will pick up Lawrence later Thursday. Tebow, of course, was Meyer's QB with the Gators. So if anyone if going to give Tebow another crack at the NFL, it's probably Meyer.

Oh, besides all that, Meyer has already reportedly bought a house on the same Jacksonville street as Tebow.

Suddenly, the Jaguars are a story worth following. Adding another big name such as Tebow would only add to the buzz.
