Tim Tebow Is Planning to Sign with the Jaguars

Well, well, well.

As first reported by Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars are planning to sign Tim Tebow to a one-year deal. Rapoport adds that while it’s not done-done, it could be official sometime in the next week.

Tebow worked out as a tight end for Jacksonville two weeks ago. At one point, it was the pre-draft story. Then Aaron Rodgers happened.

Whether Tebow is a serviceable tight end or an utter embarrassment, I just hope he makes the team. From college football to the NFL to minor league baseball, Tebow has always been fun.

Now to the real question, who looks better in a Jags uniform: Tebow or Trevor Lawrence?

  1. I have always been a Tebow fan, the person. He’s a very good athlete and probably should’ve went this route from the start, but I think this role better suits his talent and will be a positive in the locker room. But let’s not forget that this is still a business. The Kahn family knows damn well that Tebow is a Jacksonville Native, growing up there and playing high school ball there. He’s a Jacksonville legend and is being brought in every bit as much to put fans in the seats. This wouldn’t work in any other city

  2. Man Meyer must love the dude. He just bought a house 5 doors down now he’s gonna bring him in at a position he’s never played. I wish him all the best, Tebow is a class act. If this doesn’t work there’s always hockey or nascar.
