Texas A&M Board of Regents Plan Monday Meeting for ‘Possible Action’ Against SEC

Videos by OutKick

Well, it looks like Texas A&M might not go down without a fight, after all.

So far, there has been little resistance standing in the way of a swift move to the Southeastern Conference for Texas and Oklahoma. There hasn’t been a shortage of news through the first two days, but a lot of what we’re hearing has been pointing towards little opposition.

That is until Friday night, when Mike Leslie of WFAA in Dallas tweeted out something interesting.

Apparently, the Texas A&M Board of Regents have scheduled a meeting for 5 p.m. CT on Monday. In that meeting, they plan to discuss “possible action on contractual and governance issues relating to Texas A&M University and the Southeastern Conference.”

Now, what can the Aggies really do at this point?

From what we currently know, not much. As of right now, kind of looks like a toddler tantrum that isn’t going to get them anywhere. This could simply be a move to appease fans and/or boosters and make it seem like they’re doing everything they can to stop it. Or maybe there’s something there, who knows.

I guess we’ll find out on Monday.

  1. Aggie is going to show everyone what BIG12 schools knew a decade ago. Their the most delusional and self aggrandized fan base in all the land. One doesn’t even have to do a deep dive to find that their “tradition” is paper thin and strange and remember 1939? Yeah no one else does either. That’s the last time Aggie won a title. I could go on but they can make themselves look bad as time moves along.
