'No Vaxx' Djokovic Detained By Australia's Border Force, Lawyers Appeal For Vaccine Exemption To Enter Country

Data has inspired an end to the COVID-19 pandemic, but daft leadership continues to be its host.

After bypassing the Australian Open's mandatory vaccination rule, No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic is now out-matched by the government of Australia — who is blocking the court for Djokovic after rejecting his visa.

Djokovic's medical exemption, accepted by the Open, was not supported by the Australian government, and the BBC noted that Djokovic has since been "told to leave the country" after repeatedly failing to submit proper vaccination exemption status as part of his visa. 

The Age's Paul Sakkal reported that Novak's legal representation remains "in the process of appealing" as the border force presses the tennis player for "sufficient evidence for his exemption."

The tennis star's father has been present at the scene. He claimed that Novak was detained in a room lined with security — consistent with Australia's repressive stance in handling the pandemic of the unvaccinated and vaccinated.

“Novak is currently in a room where no one can enter,” 61-year-old Srdjan Djokovic commented.

"I have no idea what's going on, they're holding my son captive for five hours. This is not just a fight for Novak, but a fight for the whole world," he added. "If they don't let him go in half an hour, we will gather on the street."
