Teen Golfer Wins First Korn Ferry Event With His Instagram Girlfriend On The Bag

Say hello to the new most interesting man in golf -- Akshay Bhatia. The 19-year-old golfer, who bypassed college and turned pro at 17, has taken the sports world by storm this week over a Korn Ferry victory, in his first appearance as a full member of the tour and he did it with his Instagram model girlfriend Presleigh Schultz acting as his caddie.

Entering the final round Wednesday three back of the lead, Bhatia went 7-under 65 and took home the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay. And as if all of this isn't great fodder for Internet bloggers, Bhatia used this shot en route to his winning birdie.

As for the girlfriend on the bag, Bhatia says he was playing at the Valero Texas Open and slid into Presleigh's DMs to shoot his shot. Now the self-described "content creator" is now carrying the teen golfer's bag and celebrating Korn Ferry victories.

"I didn't know anything about golf and now I'm caddying for him," Presleigh told a Korn Ferry Tour video crew.

"What a week, so proud of @akshaybhatia_1 for his first win on the @kornferrytour such a cool feeling to be by his side this week with him!!," she added Wednesday on Instagram where she posed for a photo while holding the Korn Ferry trophy.

So let's stop and break this down for a moment.

Bhatia turns pro at 17 and "struggled mentally" on his way to missing every cut that season (6), according to Golf.com. Now just shy of his 20th birthday, he's now the third-youngest winner in Korn Ferry Tour history. He has the Instagram girlfriend on the bag. They just spent a week in the Bahamas. She's getting insane interaction on Instagram where she wants to build her fortune. Bhatia just won $135,000.

What a life. This is just how you dial it up in your head during those quiet nights in your teens.

"Livin the dream," Schultz wrote on Instagram earlier this week.

Yes, indeed you are. Enjoy every minute of it.
