Washington Huskies Football Player Arrested On Multiple Rape Charges: DETAILS

Washington Huskies running back Tybo Rogers is facing serious charges after allegedly raping two women.

The Washington RB has been charged with second-degree rape and third-degree rape and was booked into the King County Jail Tuesday, according to Fox News. Rogers' bail is set at $150,000 for each charge.

Both alleged incidents occurred near the end of 2023, and it's believed the university knew about at least one of them, according to the same report.

"The University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics Department is aware of the arrest of a football student-athlete by the Seattle Police Department. The student-athlete has been suspended from all team activities until further notice. The UW will continue to gather facts and cooperate with law enforcement, as requested," the university said in a statement following his arrest, according to Fox 13.

His football player profile on the team's website is still live as of publication.

Tybo Rogers arrested on rape charges.

The first allegation revolves around Rogers allegedly assaulting a 19-year-old woman in October 2023 after meeting on the dating app Tinder. She reported the alleged rape days later and completed a sexual assault kit, according to Fox News.

The second alleged rape happened in November 2023 to a 22-year-old University of Washington student. She accused Rogers of assaulting her after entering her apartment and allegedly "used one of his hands to strangle her," according to the same report.

Rogers was briefly suspended from the team in late November before returning in December, but it's clear if the situations are connected.

Current head coach Jedd Fisch, who was not coaching the team at the time of the alleged incidents, told the press Tuesday, "I don’t know much about it other than the fact that the ICA has suspended him indefinitely, and I don’t expect him to be out on the field. I wasn’t here for that. That has nothing to do with what we do here. As soon as I found out about the allegations, as soon as it was brought to our attention, he’s been suspended indefinitely. I have no comment about what happened in the past. That has nothing to do with me."

Rogers finished last season with 184 rushing yards on 44 carries for the Huskies. This is a developing situation. Check back to OutKick for the latest updates as we have them, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
