Virginia AD Appeared To Like Tweets Trashing Basketball Program: PHOTOS

Virginia's athletic director Carla Williams apparently got a bit too spicy with her likes on X following a humiliating NCAA Tournament loss.

The Cavaliers were blown out in embarrassing fashion by Colorado State in a 10-seed play-in game Tuesday night. It's the latest frustrating postseason experience for UVA and Tony Bennett's program.

Well, it appears Williams added a little insult to injury by liking tweets trashing the team and the selection committee for putting them in the field, according to reports from Barstool Sports and BroBible.

You can check out the allegedly liked tweets below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Virginia AD Carla Williams appeared to like tweets ripping basketball program.

As of publication, it appears someone went in and un-liked all the tweets because they no longer show up in her likes. However, screenshots and the internet are forever. Welcome to 2024, Carla!

She has an obvious excuse here, and it's her only play - even if not true. She simply has to say it was an intern who runs her social media who believed they were logged in on their private account. Boom! Problem fixed for Carla Williams. She should cut me a check to be her crisis PR manager.

Or, she could lean into the situation and fire Tony Bennett. If you're going to be a villain, you might as well go all the way. Williams could just release a statement that she's personally embarrassed by the state of the program and a coaching search is underway.

Let's light this stick of dynamite and really burn it all down. Why not? After all, some people really want Bennett fired!

Always be careful on the internet, folks. You never know what your fingers might end up smashing! Let me know what you think of the situation at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
