Nike Unveils Victor Wembanyama's Logo In Epic 'Aliens Are Real' Ad

Nike hasn't gotten everything right lately, to put it mildly, but the swoosh company didn't miss with its latest Victor Wembanyama ad and his new alien-themed logo.

As soon as the Frenchman was put on the NBA radar, many fans described him as an alien given his 7-foot-4 lanky frame and the fact that the league hadn't seen a potentially all-world prospect with his build maybe ever. You add his ability to put the ball in the basket from all areas of the court and erase shots on the other end, and alien is a rather-fitting description of the 20-year-old.

Instead of running away from the ‘alien’ angle, Nike has completely leaned into it.

The company released its first Wembanyama-focused ad campaign over the weekend and revealed his ‘alien’ logo, and it's hard not to give the commercial and the logo five stars each.

Wembanyama played feweer than 30 minutes per game during his rookie campaign with San Antonio, but he took full advantage of his time on the floor. One of the more mind-boggling games from Wemby came against the Toronto Raptors in February when he became the first player in NBA history to record a 20-point, 10-block triple-double in fewer than 30 minutes played.

The number of ‘Wembanyama became the first player since…’ and ‘Wembanyama became the youngest player in NBA history to…’ records the young man set during the 2023-24 season are practically endless.

When it was all said and done, Wembanyama averaged 21.4 points per game, 10.6 rebounds, and led the NBA by averaging 3.6 blocks per game. He's not only a lock to win Rookie of the Year, but could very well be the face of the league sooner rather than later.
