UNC Star Verbally Murders Michigan State After NCAA Tournament Win: VIDEO

UNC player Harrison Ingram verbally lit up Michigan State after beating the Spartans.

The Tar Heels beat the Spartans in convincing fashion 85-69 Saturday, and Tom Izzo's team was apparently doing a lot of chatter before and during the game.

Ingram, who scored 17 points and had 7 rebounds in the win, made sure to let the Spartans know their plan didn't work at all.

North Carolina player roasts Michigan State for trash talking.

"I haven't seen a team talk like that since a scrimmage at the beginning of the year. It was ridiculous. For what? Now they’re going home, so they see what it got them," Ingram told the media Saturday night after the game.

He further added that opponents trash talking UNC only serves as inspiration and motivation. Nothing more. Nothing less.

This is the kind of energy and pettiness fans love to see in the NCAA Tournament. Inject it right into our souls. Ingram wasn't angry or raising his voice.

He was simply pointing out Michigan State players really enjoyed running their mouths and where did that get it? As he noted, they're "going home."

He made sure to remind the entire media pool of that fact. Absolutely savage.

If you're going to talk trash, you better win. If not, you're just setting yourself up to get embarrassed and mocked after the fact.

That's exactly what happened to Tom Izzo and his team. You simply hate to see it!

UNC has put everyone on notice that if you want to talk trash, they won't hesitate to verbally light you up. I believe that's what the kids call karma. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
