UConn Arrives For Final Four After Pointless Hysteria Over Plane Issue
America's great national crisis is finally over:
The UConn basketball team has arrived in Arizona for the Final Four.
Social media was set ablaze Wednesday night when it was revealed an unexpected plane issue was keeping the Huskies from leaving as scheduled for the Final Four in Glendale.
From some of the reactions floating around, you would have thought it was the end of the world. It's a basketball team being delayed - not the start of an alien invasion.
It's crazy I even had to say that, but here we are. Well, all's well that ends well because the Huskies touched down shortly after 3:00 am local time in Arizona.
UConn arrives for the Final Four in Arizona.
We can all breathe easy. The long national nightmare has finally come to an end after *checks watch* roughly eight hours. It's over!
I seriously can't believe how people are treating this situation. It was a delayed plane ride. We've all had them. Hell, my flight to Wisconsin for Christmas didn't even show up at DCA until two full hours after we were supposed to depart.
It happens. Yet, people were in absolute panic mode. Why? It's early Thursday right now. UConn plays Saturday night. Am I supposed to believe the Huskies can't get some rest over the course of the next several days?
Seriously, how soft have people become? I won a state basketball championship (shoutout to my sub-one point per game scoring average) after about two hours of sleep. You make adjustments and roll with it.
What will be hilarious is if people really overthink this and use it to bet Alabama Saturday night. Don't read into it that much, folks. It was just a plane ride. Agree? Disagree? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
