Travis Kelce Is Reportedly In Talks To Host 'Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?' Reboot

Travis Kelce is rumored to be a hot commodity in Hollywood, what with him gallivanting with one of the most famous *Jerry Lewis voice* laaaaaaaadieeeees on the entire planet, and according to a report from Variety, he's in talks to host a reboot of the game show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader.

Now, let's get the obvious joke out of our system right up top: Lucky for him he'd be hosting and not competing.

According to Variety, Amazon Prime is kicking the tires on bringing back the game show that asked contestants questions that were allegedly lifted from grade school materials… I have my suspicions; more on that in a second.

The original version aired on Fox and was hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, while a revival aired on Nickelodeon in 2019 and was hosted by John Cena.

So, after a beloved comedian and a beloved wrestler/action star, who better to take the reins of the show than this guy?:

I don't see it happening and here's why: those questions were somewhat famously never quite at the grade level they were alleged to be at. There were moments when a contestant would have to answer a "3rd-grade" math concept about the Pythagorean theorem. That's not something 3rd graders learn. I specifically remember stealing answers about that off another kid's paper during my freshman year of high school at the earliest.

The point is that if this game show does this again and hurls some loftier topics at ol' Trav, I don't know if he can handle hosting duties.

Would there be anything more embarrassing than him stumbling through a question so bad that one of those wanna-be actor kids in the pretend class would have to help him out?

"The word ‘pop’ is an example of ona-… ona-… mata--… ona-mata-po-ee-uh?

"It's ‘onomatopoeia,’ Mr. Kelce…"

The man's one hell of a tight end, and I can't blame him for striking while the iron is hot with all these Hollywood opportunities, just like a post-NFL career, pre-double-murder that he didn't commit according to the State of California (*wink*) OJ Simpson did back in the day…. alright maybe not the best example, but you know what I mean.

However, you're setting yourself up for embarrassment by toying with Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

Although, then again, I don't know that anyone thinks he actually is.

But maybe he'll surprise us and be a natural!
