Travis Kelce Gives Ridiculous Answer On Public Interest In Taylor Swift Relationship

The Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift relationship has, to the chagrin of many sports fans, become an object of fascination for the general public.

So it's no surprise that despite the domestic sporting world's biggest event just a few days away, pre-Super Bowl questions have focused almost as much on the relationship as they have the game itself. Sure enough, at one of the many press conferences around the game, Kelce was again asked about it…and gave an absolutely ridiculous answer.

One reporter asked the 34-year-old tight end, "Why do you think everyone is so fascinated with you two?" To which Kelce responded, "The values that we stand for and who we are as people." He continued, We love to shine light on others, shine light around the people that help and support us. I feel like we both have just a love for life."

What now?

Travis Kelce Doesn't Understand Taylor Swift ‘Fascination’

What exactly are the "values" that Kelce believes he and Taylor Swift "stand for?"

Kelce has shown he's willing to market any product willing to pay him, becoming "Mr. Pfizer" in order to sell more of the company's under-performing COVID vaccines and flu shots. Swift is mostly known for writing songs about breakups and her prior celebrity relationships. Not exactly the most obvious "value" for people to be fascinated with.

The reality is that these are two extremely famous people, especially Swift, and the public is generally interested whenever two very famous people date. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe, Beyonce and Jay-Z, David and Victoria Beckham…just to name a few. The Kelce-Swift relationship took on heightened interest because it happened to start during the NFL season, and while Swift was in the midst of a record-shattering worldwide tour.

It has nothing to do with a "love for life" or shining "light" on others. It's got everything to do with Taylor Swift being the world's biggest pop star and Travis Kelce being one of the most famous athletes in the country's biggest sport. Wouldn't exactly have been a hard answer to give there, Travis.
