Travis Kelce Engulfed With Boos At Super Bowl Media Opening Night

Fans showed up for the San Francisco 49ers in Vegas on Monday as the NFL kicked off Super Bowl week with its Media Opening Night. Hosting both Chiefs and Niners players at Allegiant Stadium, fans in attendance got to cheer and boo. One guy flattened by the boos was none other than Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce

Mr. Pfizer's reputation this season teeters between household name and public enemy No. 1.

On Monday night, Niners fans booed the heck out of Kelce. He hopped on a microphone with San Francisco 49ers tight end, George Kittle, for a lighthearted preview of the upcoming championship game.

Kittle enjoyed Kelce's company, but not the fans in the seats repping red and gold.

In all fairness, Travis Kelce cleverly snapped back at all the booing. It's hard to hate the guy, especially with his contributions to KC's offense this postseason, truly elevating the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl.

WATCH:

"Y’all are firing me up, making me want to play right now, baby," Kelce responded. "I love the boos more than I love the cheers baby, keep ’em coming Niners Gang, keep ’em coming!"

After recently watching his lady Taylor Swift win three Grammy awards, Kelce's on fire for another championship for the trophy case.

The 34-year-old tight end hopes to cap a historic run. This postseason, Kelce recorded his 156th reception, the most in NFL playoff history.

When the football matters most, Kelce's an absolute stud. Now he's one game away from his third Super Bowl win. (And a potential proposal in line, should the Chiefs win?)

"We've had a lot of ups and downs this year. And it's only made us stronger and that much more willing to fight for each other. I love this group and I want this one more than I've ever wanted one in my life."

San Francisco hopes to shut the potential storybook ending to the season for Travis Kelce.

Niners quarterback Brock Purdy received a question from Scott Hanson on Monday regarding whether he looks forward to crushing Taylor Swift's hopes on Sunday.

"It’s late in the 4th Quarter… are you prepared to disappoint Taylor Swift," Hanson asked.

With ice in his veins and a target on his back from Swiftie Nation, Purdy responded, "Yes."
