Tom Brady Gives His Take On Travis Kelce, Andy Reid Sideline Kerfuffle

One of the most memorable moments of Super Bowl LVIII was without a doubt Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce completely blowing a gasket and getting right in the face of Chiefs head coach and first-ballot mustache Hall of Famer Andy Reid.

The incident received a lot of reactions and now, someone who knows a thing or two about life on the Super Bowl sidelines — Tom Brady — has given his take.

The GOAT gave his Super Bowl LVIII postmortem on his Let's Go! podcast.

"There’s always little family issues and, of course, I don’t mind seeing it because I was a part of a lot of those things," Brady said, per Pro Football Talk. "Emotions are so high. You are definitely not centered and balanced. You’re not in a meditative state at that point. You are fully determined to go out there and to win.

"So I think a lot of the things that are said during the games, people should just let them fly off their back. And I actually think Coach Reid handled it just awesome, like he always does, because he just said, ‘I was a little off balance and Travis is such a competitor.’

Reid also said that this wasn't the first time Kelce had done something like that but, he said that he appreciated the intensity.

"And I love that because it just speaks to his leadership ability," Brady said of Reid's comments on the incident.

That's definitely one way of looking at it. However, let's do a quick thought exercise: imagine Reid is fielding questions about that on-field blowout after a loss. I think we can all agree that he'd be significantly less jazzed about that moment.

Brady also said that he was impressed by the way that Reid didn't take the outburst personally.

"He doesn’t look at that and feel like someone offended him. He takes it for what it is and doesn’t make it more than it is and doesn’t see someone’s trying to belittle him. Travis is not trying to do any of those things. He’s just trying to be fired up and stay in the moment."
