Snoop Dogg Getting Into College Football Bowl Business, But Not The Kind You're Probably Thinking Of

Legendary artist Snoop Dogg is throwing his hat into the booming college football business, becoming the new title sponsor of the Arizona Bowl in what is an historic move for the sport.

Thanks to the Arizona Bowl not being tied to the ESPN conglomerate, the game that takes place on the campus of the University of Arizona has found unique ways to promote its event. The new Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop is the newest addition to a long list of postseason games.

"I’ve sent many players through my SYFL to colleges (and the NFL) so it’s only fitting that I bring the ‘juice’ back to college football," said Snoop Dogg in the press release. "Dr. Dre and I are excited to bring our brand to the next level with this partnership, and we’re going to make the Arizona Bowl into a game day experience like never before."

I'm sure you're wondering what to expect from this new partnership between the transcending artist and college football. We all witnessed last year's Pop-Tart bowl, which had the edible treat rise from an oven during the postgame celebration, which set-off a firestorm of memes across the internet.

Now, we are getting the first partnership between an alcoholic beverage and a college football bowl game. I think it's safe to assume that there will not be a postgame passing of marijuana around for the winning team, but maybe the guys old-enough to consume it will enjoy a tasty beverage on the field.

Would it surprise anyone to see Snoop Dogg lighting up a blunt during the halftime show? How about the winning team standing on a stage while Snoop smokes a joint and hands over what will undoubtedly be a unique trophy.

"College football fans are exhausted by the constant talk around NIL, conference realignment, coach movement, transfer portal and super conferences," Snoop Dogg discussed on social media. "So it's time that we get back to the roots of college football — when it was focused on the colleges, the players and the competition, the community, the fan experience, and the pageantry. ... I'm ready to bring the juice back to college football."

The point is, we are seeing different brands start to get involved in college football, wanting to be part of the growing sport during the postseason, which is obviously great for business.

One of the biggest aspects of the Arizona Bowl is what they do for charities across the country, which will once again be highlighted in this new venture.

"The "Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop" will further the success of one of college football’s most unique games, which donates 100% of net proceeds to charity and provides prominent national television exposure and profitable brand activation opportunities to potential sponsors and offers one of the largest "Hero" recognition programs in the nation."

This will undoubtedly be one of the most talked about bowl games outside the college football playoff next season, and I can't wait to see what Snoop Dogg has to bring to college football.

I'd imagine the players will be running through a ton of smoke during pregame introductions.
