Roger Federer Snags Selfie With Steve Kerr, Only It Wasn't Actually Steve Kerr

Roger Federer is in a league of his own when it comes to the classiest all-time great athletes, but even he is a sucker for whipping out his phone to snag a selfie.

But unfortunately for Federer, it appears he got got by a Steve Kerr lookalike.

Earlier this month, a man by the name of Steve Gillis was spotted in the crowd during the Warriors' home win over the Spurs due to his uncanny likeness to Kerr. The two men look identical.

Federer was in attendance for the game, and it's fair to say that he sees Gillis' resemblance to Kerr given that he snagged a photo with the doppelgänger.

"And at halftime, tennis great Roger Federer even approached Gillis as he walked into the tunnel alongside Warriors owner Joe Lacob," Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports reported.

"Roger looks at me and says, 'Let's take a picture,'' Gillis said. "He takes three selfies with me. And then he pats me on the shoulder and says, 'Thanks.' ...The fact that he was so gracious and nice about it, I'm thinking, 'I wonder if he knew I wasn't Steve Kerr?'"

Gillis, an English teacher at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, hasn't all of a sudden started showing a resemblance to Kerr, he said that he's been getting comparisons to the coach for almost 30 years dating back to Kerr's playing days.

The March 9 game at Chase Center was Gillis' first-ever Warriors game after being gifted tickets for his birthday. Seeing as how he was sitting just four rows from the floor, it took all of a few minutes for cameras inside the arena to spot him. He even made it up on the video board multiple times before the game even tipped off.

Even security guards inside the building were so blown away by the Kerr resemblance that they moved Gillis and his daughter as close as possible to the tunnel in hopes that the head coach would spot his doppelgänger.
