Robin Lopez Grateful For Two Hours As Patrick Beverley's Teammate

NBA center Robin Lopez, 35, took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing on the almost two whole hours he spent as Patrick Beverley's teammate on the Bucks.

Lopez played on the Bucks until a trade to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday ended his eight-month run with Milwaukee.

Before his trade to the Kings, Lopez got to spend an hour and 40 minutes as Patrick Beverley's teammate after Milwaukee acquired the guard from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Robin Lopez wrote a touching tribute to his time as not just a teammate to Beverley, but a brother — even if the connection lasted less than two hours.

The center reacted to his trade on X: "I enjoyed being teammates with Patrick Beverley for all of an hour and 45 minutes I'll never forget those times. #indelible."

Lopez referenced extremely current events when sharing his top memories with Beverley on X. A fan asked Lopez what his favorite times with Pat Bev were …

"The car ride home from shootaround," Lopez said. "Listening to some jamz on the radio. Discussing the ‘Knuckle’s tv show trailer. The end of the car ride home Climbing into bed for my nap There's really too, too many. It's overwhelming."

Robin Lopez was promptly waived by Sacramento, making him a free agent. His brother, Brook Lopez, plays for the Bucks.

The NBA trade deadline wrapped Thursday afternoon with no splash trade to debate. But Patrick Beverley's trade to Milwaukee sparked several intriguing storylines to monitor going forward.

Beverley broke the news of his trade via his own show, putting the newsworthy scoop out there before NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski or Shams Charania could catch wind of the transaction.

Beverley's move to Milwaukee pairs him with some old adversaries. Beverley's past antics have landed him in hot water with Giannis Antetokounmpo's and Damian Lillard, both of whom lead the Milwaukee Bucks.

Beverley reacted to the trade news, live on his Barstool show. The veteran guard mentioned that 76ers executive Daryl Morey told him he wouldn't be traded.

He admitted to holding a contentious relationship with Damian Lillard but that it was time to put their differences aside for a championship.

The Bucks have been out of sorts since ditching first-year head coach Adrian Griffin. Milwaukee is 5-5 in their last 10 games, heading into a matchup against Western Conference juggernaut, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Despite Doc Rivers' popularity among NBA circles, his hiring as the new Bucks head coach didn't instill much confidence for the rest of their season. On the bright side, Rivers has a rapport with Pat Bev, who he previously coached in Los Angeles with the Clippers.

The Bucks stand third in the Eastern Conference at 33-18.
