Robert Kraft Thinks Taylor Swift Should Have Dated Rob Gronkowski Instead Of Travis Kelce

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft thinks Taylor Swift chose to start a love story with the wrong NFL tight end.

You’ll remember that Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, taking the NFL by storm. Despite the nearly incessant coverage being a thorn in the side of many NFL fans, the romance seems to be going along quite well.

Kraft has kept tabs on this high-profile relationship, and seen how successful these two have been together. Nevertheless, the Patriots owner thinks Swift should have pursued a different tight end when she was younger.

"Think about it: She was 18, 19 [years old] and she’s done pretty well. Except maybe she should’ve been dating Gronk [former Patriots star Rob Gronkowski]. He’s better looking."

Kraft And Swift Crossed Paths Early In Her Career

Kraft and Swift first crossed paths in 2010, when the pop star held a concert on Kraft’s birthday (June 5). When Kansas City (and therefore Swift) came to town earlier this season, Kraft gave the singer a gift as a memento of the occasion.

"We convinced her and her family that she could sell out a stadium," Kraft said. "So, when she came to view the Chiefs play the Patriots this year at Gillette, I gave her a framed ticket from that concert, June 5, 2010."

Kraft has undoubtedly taken note of the marketing power Swift brought to Chiefs and the league. As a shrewd business man, he might be a little jealous that he couldn;t use her popularity to benefit his own team.

A Gronk-Swift Relationship Would Have Been A Disaster

But even if Kraft could rewind the hands of time, I doubt even a teenage-Swfit would fall for Gronk.

While he has certainly matured since the year he first came into the league. Gronk was not serious dating material 10 years ago, and Swift was barely an adult. Plus, with all due respect to my favorite tight end of all time, Kelce is definitely the better looking of the two. And as much as I hate to admit, he’s definitely the better tight end.

That relationship would have been a disaster from the start, but probably would have been great inspiration for a No. 1 hit.

Kraft can keep dreaming of what could have been with Swift. I doubt she’s anxious to give up what she’s currently got.
