Lenny Dykstra Suffers Stroke, Hospitalized

Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder, Lenny Dykstra has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.

DYKSTRA RECOVERING IN HOSPITAL

News of Dykstra being hospitalized first came from Dykstra's friend and local establishment, "Dylan’s Bar," a social media account, who tweeted that the 61-year-old was surrounded by loved ones and that he is "doing decently."

One thing's for certain - there's no doubt that Dykstra, who famously goes by the name "Nails," will use that same type of determination and grit to get back into tip-top shape and continue his Lenny ways.

In recent years, Dykstra has become famous for delivering hot takes and non-PC opinions on his social media accounts. Whether it's ripping First Lady Jill Biden as being a curse to Philadelphia sports, or repeatedly posting Travis Kelce with his Pfizer vaccination band-aid on his arm, Lenny is gonna Lenny - there's no doubt about that.

DYKSTRA ALWAYS SPEAKS HIS MIND

Throughout the late ‘80s and early ’90s, Lenny Dysktra was one of the most popular baseball players in the league. Always rocking way too much tobacco in his mouth as his one cheek looked like a damn chipmunk, Lenny's "Nails" nickname came from the outfielder being known for his "tough as nails" approach to the sport and in life. In addition to helping the Mets win the 1986 World Series against the Boston Red Sox, Dykstra was a 3x All-Star for the Phillies, where he won the Silver Slugger Award in 1993.

In recent years, Lenny has battled some off-the-field demons. Most recently, he was facing possible eviction over unpaid rent for his Los Angeles apartment.
