Ohio State QB Rips His Haters With Blunt Comments

Ohio State QB Devin Brown has no intention of cutting and running out of Columbus.

The Buckeyes have a ridiculously loaded QB room going into the 2024 season that features multiple players who could start at many schools. Below are the top four prospects:

  • Senior Will Howard (Kansas State transfer)
  • Sophomore Devin Brown
  • Freshman Julian Sayin (Alabama transfer)
  • Freshman Air Noland

All four of those guys have varying levels of talent and potential, and Sayin and Noland are both viewed as future NFL players. Given the insane competition in the QB room, it's fair to wonder if someone will leave, and Brown seems like the obvious choice for some people, despite the fact he was also highly-touted as a top-50 recruit.

Devin Brown shuts down transfer speculation.

Now, Brown is firing back at anyone who might doubt him and making it clear that he doesn't plan on going anywhere. Not only is he not transferring, but he didn't hold back with his thoughts.

"Honestly, I think people are cowards. I think people have this thought in their own heads that I'm gonna leave and I'm a quitter but that's never been me. These people live, you know, wherever - their momma's basement - saying something about me, and they don't know sh*t. Excuse my language, but they don't know anything. They don't know who I am. They don't know who I've been, and that's who I've always been," Brown told the media Monday.

I love this energy from Devin Brown. He's no slouch. The young man was a major recruit coming out of high school, and just because he hasn't set the world on fire just yet doesn't mean he's not talented.

He deserves major credit for having this outlook and mindset. Many players transfer at the first sign of limited playing time or competition.

Gone are the days of waiting and developing. Guys expect to play ASAP or they leave. Brown is digging in and preparing to make his move in a loaded Ohio State QB room.

He might succeed or he might fail. It's too early to know, but I respect the hell out of anyone with his mentality in 2024. It's becoming rarer and rarer. Ignore the haters and critics, and just work as hard as you can.
