Northwestern Coach Chris Collins Daps Up Boilermakers Players, Pumps Up Crowd After Chewing Out Refs

Northwestern men's basketball coach Chris Collins put on a show as time expired in Wednesday's game between the Wildcats and Purdue.

The Boilermakers outlasted Northwestern in overtime, 105-96. Purdue padded the lead in their victory thanks to last-second free throws courtesy of a Chris Collins tirade. Collins bickered with referee Courtney Green, feeling Purdue was getting the favorable whistles.

The coach had to be held back by an assistant. After several "I'M GOODs," Collins made his way off the court. He shook hands with Purdue's Matt Painter and dapped up Boilermakers star Zach Edey. The coach had to give love to Edey, who posted 30 points on Northwestern.

Collins topped off his outstanding showcase by riling up West Lafayette, in a good way. He drove the crowd wild, throwing his arms up at the cheering fans.

Chris Collins refrained from landing in hot water, tacitly referencing the free throw attempt disparity without the same passion from his late-game tirade.

"Obviously Purdue, give them all the credit," Collins shared after the game. "Obviously for them to go to the line 50 times and their aggressiveness. Their physicality makes it really hard."
