Nick Saban Brutally Roasted By Fans Over NIL Comments

Nick Saban is the new top target on the internet after some recent comments about NIL.

The former Alabama coach participated Tuesday in an NIL roundtable with Senator Ted Cruz and the Cavinder twins, and he made waves when he declared the football world he spent decades in is dead.

"Well, all the things I believed in for all these years - 50 years of coaching - no longer exist in college athletics. So, it was always about developing players. It was always about helping people be more successful in life," Saban said.

The comments immediately went viral, and many people aren't overly pleased with the seven-time national champion.

Fans react to Nick Saban's NIL comments.

College football fans rushed to social media after Nick Saban's comments about NIL and the state of college football, and one thing quickly became clear:

Not many people were willing to extend the legendary college coach their sympathies.

Check out some of the reactions below, and let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

To be clear, there's no proof of any kind Saban participated in any schemes violating NCAA rules while at Alabama as many are alleging.

Now, had money been flowing under the table for decades before NIL? Without a doubt, but let's maybe dial it back with the accusations. Having said that, it's obvious a lot of people disagree with Nick Saban's assessment of the situation.

He thinks NIL is out of control. It was meant to allow college athletes to sign ad deals and get paid for things such as autographs. Instead, it quickly morphed into players getting lucrative NIL deals before playing a single game.

Nick Saban isn't a fan, and has no problem letting people know the system millions of fans grew up loving is gone.

Fans just don't care what he thinks at this point!

Whose side are you on when it comes to the NIL issue? Is the situation completely fine or have things gone too far? Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
