Nick Saban Roasted Mario Cristobal's Driving Skills With Savage Cuba Reference

Nick Saban is apparently a savage when it comes to dishing out low-key burns.

The former Alabama coach officially hung up his whistle after seven national title rings, and the college football world will never be the same.

It doesn't matter if you support the Crimson Tide or not, you have to respect what Saban accomplished during his career.

There's also been a lot of very entertaining stories that have surfaced since his retirement. Lane Kiffin revealed he once thought he might come to blows with Saban, and Mario Cristobal has a hilarious story of his own.

Mario Cristobal shares great Nick Saban story.

The current Miami coach served as an assistant under Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa from 2013-2016, and his former boss apparently didn't love his driving skills.

The two were in Iowa recruiting during a snowstorm with Cristobal behind the wheel, the Miami coach revealed in a new ESPN profile. The former Alabama head coach wasn't impressed and he let Cristobal know it.

"I didn't know how to drive in the snow, and we were almost crashing," he told ESPN, and Saban had a truly funny comment.

"Tell me, man, there ain't no snow in Cuba. Why the hell are you driving," Saban asked his then-assistant, according to the profile.

Boom. Roasted.

For the record, Mario Cristobal isn't from Cuba. He was born in Miami. He's a second generation Cuban-American. Do we think Saban knew that or not? It's significantly funnier if he did, and went with the burn anyway.

I can hear in my head exactly how the line was delivered. Slow and smooth and straight to the point. Precision at its finest.

Also, if anyone is even thinking about getting offended by Saban making a joke about Cristobal's Cuban heritage, take a breath and don't. It's a hilarious remark, and it's really just one guy busting up another guy with some humor. It's guys being dudes. Nothing more. Nothing less. There's nothing wrong with what Saban said, and it's pretty funny. It's also just another reminder that Saban was a savage at his core, and there will never be another coach like him.
