NFL Goat Tom Brady Leaves Door Open For Comeback At Age 46

We've seen Tom Brady's greatness and already grasped his well-earned spot as NFL legend. But the man still wants to play, or at least he's leaving the door open to a comeback in 2024.

Brady even listed a trio of teams he'd love to help out, including the once-interested San Francisco 49ers.

The 46-year-old boldly commented on the "DeepCuts with VicBlends" podcast.

Formerly thought to be out of the league for good, Brady flipped that script and admitted he still wants to embrace the grind of playing in the NFL.

Without Gisele Bundchen to tell him otherwise — running off with a Jiu-Jitsu instructor from Brazil — TB12's got all the more reason to make a comeback if he's still passionate about the game.

The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback was asked if he'd pick up the phone from an interested team.

"I'm not opposed to it," Brady said, knowing it'd set the internet on fire. Brady's body language seemed fully aware of the ripples his comments could potentially create.

Brady did acknowledge some prior commitments as a possible conflict of interest. Then there's his deal with Fox Sports, which will put him back in the spotlight in the broadcasters' booth with Kevin Burkhardt. Tom is expected to replace former NFL tight end Greg Olsen, who's been lauded for his work in the booth. Big shoes to fill means lots of preparation, so don't assume Brady's got his eye off the booth with his ‘comeback’ comment.

"I don't know if they're gonna let me," Brady added, "if I become an owner of an NFL team … I'm always gonna be in good shape, (I'll) always be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit, like M.J. [Michael Jordan] coming back? I don't know if they'd let me, but I wouldn't be opposed to it."

The San Francisco 49ers reportedly tried to lure Brady out of Foxborough and Tampa Bay during his playing days. When asked about SF, he responded by nodding along to the Niners' idea but also listing the Raiders and Patriots as possible comeback teams.

At least with New England, Brady gets the chance to bury Bill Belichick with the possibility of winning a championship under new Pats coach Jerod Mayo. Maybe this comeback idea isn't terrible …

"Patriots? Could be," Brady jokingly stated, "Raiders? Could be. You never know."

A Brady comeback truly is a win for all. TB12 gets to do what he loves; NFL fans get Brady back on Sundays on the field; "80 for Brady" will have the ultimate plot point for a sequel.

(It's still incredible that Brady led the Bucs to the Super Bowl and beat Mahomes. The man can do anything.)
