Jets CB Sauce Gardner Under Fire Over Podcast Comments Directed At Jewish People

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner made antisemitic remarks during a podcast appearance over the weekend and promptly walked back the comments after facing backlash on social media.

Gardner made the tasteless remark that Jews "run the world" and later tried to clarify his comment, claiming he was unaware of the tasteless troupe.

When streamer Adin Ross mentioned being gifted a Tesla Cybertruck by a Jewish friend, Gardner responded, hesitating for a moment.

Gardner clearly understood what he insinuated with the comment.

"I'm gonna be honest," Gardner said, stewing on his words before blurting out the insensitive remark about Jewish people. "Y'all run the world."

Gardner took his sentiment a step further after the live-streaming group laughed at his antisemitic remark. "They got so much motion throughout the whole world. Y'all gotta see how they be walking in the airport," the third-year player said.

Facing backlash for the mindless comments, Gardner went to social media and excused his comment, saying he was unaware of the suggestive comment. Gardner didn't apologize as much as he simply wiped his hands clean of any blame.

"I love all people; Including Jewish people," Gardner posted on Tuesday. "The majority of my agency/marketing team are Jewish and I talk to them almost every day. You probably just took what I said the wrong way but what I said was meant to be a good thing."

"I love all people. While my intentions were positive, I just learned that people use those exact words I shared for hate towards Jewish people," he added. "That is not what I am about and I appreciate those who took the time to educate me on that fact."

Men like New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft are working hard toward combating the rise of antisemitism in the nation, pouring countless resources toward mending social relationships between conflicting groups.

Then there's young guys like Gardner, who squander Kraft's message against antisemitism by reinforcing bad troupes.
