NBA Star Anthony Edwards Leaves Game For All The Right Reasons

Minnesota Timberwolves fans were holding their breath after their All-Star shooting guard Anthony Edwards was suddenly missing when the team returned to the court after half-time during last night's game against the Sacramento Kings.

Fear not, however, Wolves faithful, as Edwards was also catching his breath - but for all the right reasons. The 22-year-old left the Timberwolves' Target Center arena in order to become a dad for the first time after girlfriend and influencer Jeanine Robel went into labor.

The ‘Ant-Man’ had scored 11 points with two rebounds and two assists before leaving the game with the Kings officially saying he wasn't returning "due to personal reasons." The television broadcast later told fans that he left to head to the hospital to be there with Robel.

EDWARDS HAS BEEN DOMINANT THIS SEASON

Robel has been a consistent fixture at Wolves home games this year - regularly appearing courtside as Edwards continues to dominate and be one of the NBA's best players.

Meanwhile, it appears Edwards and Robel's child is going to have quite the good life.

Earlier this week, the couple shared a WILD baby shower video that had more bling than a rap video. The video starts with Edwards rolling up in an Audi Q8 car worth over $170,000 before the shower celebration.

Edwards has had a lot to celebrate in the past week. The 2x All-Star became the first Timberwolves player to ever average more than 30 ppg in a month after finishing February with 31. The team currently sits atop the Western Conference
