Gretchen Whitmer Ruthlessly Booed During NFL Draft: VIDEO

NFL fans didn't seem too pumped to see Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer at the draft.

Detroit hosted the NFL Draft last week from Thursday through Saturday, and it was the most highly-attended draft in league history.

The scenes out of Detroit were epic. People had a great time and the vibes were high in the Motor City. Well, that is unless you're the governor of the state hosting the event.

Whitmer took to the stage Saturday to announce a fourth round pick for the Lions, and she was immediately hit with thunderous boos.

Naturally, people on the internet had plenty to say, and nobody was exactly shocked the governor who embraced lockdowns isn't loved by NFL fans.

I'm not really sure what kind of reception Whitmer was expecting. She's the governor who infamously oversaw Michigan when seeds were banned from being sold during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If there's one thing we know about pandemics, buying seeds is just too dangerous to be allowed. It's hard to believe that it was already more than four years ago when all that insanity started. People clearly haven't forgotten, and I don't blame them.

Whitmer thought she was just strolling out to announce a draft pick. Instead, she gets booed and is being mercilessly roasted online.
