Luke McCown Joins Harrison Butker In Being Disappointed By Olympics 'Filth' Mocking Last Supper
Retired NFL quarterback Luke McCown, like current kicker Harrison Butker, was disgusted and disappointed by the outlandish mockery that was on display at Friday's Olympics opening ceremony. During the ceremony, drag queens appeared to mock The Last Supper and Christians in something that has to be seen to be believed.
As OutKick's David Hookstead relayed Saturday morning, Butker slammed the ceremony, posting a bible verse to his X account above a video of the Olympic ceremony mocking The Last Supper.
Luke McCown likened the display to "filth," hours after Butker's response.
McCown, who played 13 NFL seasons after a standout career at Louisiana Tech, wasted little time joining Butker and expressing his disgust with the event while recommending a bible verse (Matthew 26:17).
"Won’t repost the filth from the Olympics.. Disappointed but not surprised...not sure why it’s a part of the event," McCown said via X. He then went on to detail the importance of The Last Summer and thanked Jesus before offering up the above-mentioned bible verse.
Luke McCown Doesn't Want To See Olympics Mocking The Last Supper
McCown, who retired in 2018 after spending time with six NFL teams, later published another post on social media asking people to refrain from sharing the Olympic mockery that took place on Friday in Paris.
"Also…. Folks c’mon stop reposting it.. find a way to turn the attention from the filth that mocked Jesus to Jesus himself," McCown posted on X. "Lots of Christian’s talking about it right now.. here’s the chance… tell someone what the last supper was really about and what it really led to."
Mocking The Last Supper and already being labeled as having hosted "the gayest opening ceremony ever," has the 2024 Olympics looking like anything but gold.
