LeBron James Makes Stupid Comment As Lakers Continue To Get Crushed

LeBron James was in prime form Thursday night after the Lakers lost to the Nuggets.

Denver beat Los Angeles 112-105 to take a three game lead in the postseason series. The Lakers are on the brink of elimination, and LeBron is facing another disappointing end to the season.

How is the Lakers star player handling it? He wants to make sure everyone knows that it's really not that important.

LeBron James has bizarre reaction to losing to the Nuggets.

"It's just basketball. At the end of the day, it's just basketball," the four-time NBA champion told the media after the loss.

Smart, LeBron. Very smart. Let all the fans who invest their time, energy and, most importantly, money know that "it's just basketball."

Classic, LeBron. This is so on-brand for the Lakers forward that it's borderline painful. I almost physically cringed at the video.

When LeBron is winning and dominating, he's at the top of the world. He's quick to let the world know how great he is. When he's losing, it simply doesn't matter. It's just a sport, after all! Why would anyone care?

It's hilarious behavior. It's even funnier when you factor in that LeBron is making more than $47 million this year. It better mean a hell of a lot more than just being a game for that kind of money.

Let's also flashback to the greatest LeBron quote ever when the Heat lost in the finals to Mavericks:

"All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point."

Again, basketball is seemingly only important when LeBron is winning. If not, then who cares?

Death. Taxes. LeBron James saying stupid things. Three things you can always count on in life. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
