LeBron James Gets Called Out For Posting Dumb Video While Driving Around California At 1 AM

LeBron James posted a series of cringe and irresponsible videos to his Instagram story of him driving on a California freeway in the middle of the night, and some folks on social media weren't happy about it.

James posted four different videos at around 1 AM on Thursday morning following the Lakers' loss to the Kings in Sacramento. Each slide featured a different R&B song showing that he was clearly in his feels after scoring 18 points and snagging 13 rebounds in his team's 120-107 loss.

The videos had the vibe of a 16-year-old kid who recently got their license and managed to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night to scratch that itch of hitting the open road. The difference here is that James is a 39-year-old, father of three.

James did add his own personal touch to his short film by wearing driving gloves, as one does.

Whipping the phone out to post some ‘cool’ videos of yourself driving, whether it be at 1 AM or 12:27 in the afternoon is never a wise move. This is a bad influence from LeBron to the youth out there and his 160 million followers on Instagram. Again, it's giving 16-year-old kid vibes who don't know any better.

The majority of the replies on X, formerly Twitter, were filled with memes and jokes, but some people ignored the comedic side of things and called out James.

It'll be interesting to see if James got all of his emotions out between Wednesday's loss to the Kings and his late-night recording session on a Cali freeway with the Lakers hosting the Warriors on Saturday in a pivotal game.

As things stand now, Los Angeles holds the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference standings with Golden State just 1.5 games back.
