Leah Goldstein Says She's Proud Of Her IDF Service On 'Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich'

Leah Goldstein spoke with Dan Dakich about her reaction to being removed from her duties as the keynote speaker of a women’s event in Ontario, Canada.

The event will be held in March and is intended to celebrate International Women’s Day. She seemed like a natural fit; she’s a highly-accomplished cyclist who became the first female to win the "Race Across America" in the solo division.

But the conference decided to retract their arrangement because a group of pro-Palestine supporters disliked the fact that she served in Israel’s military.

"Our focus at INSPIRE has been and will always be to create safe spaces to honor, share, and celebrate the remarkable stories of women and non-binary individuals," event organizers said in a statement. "In recognition of the current situation and the sensitivity of the conflict in the Middle East, the Board of INSPIRE will be changing our keynote speaker."

The move completely caught Goldstein by surprise, and it marked the first time in her life that her military background became an issue.

"I didn’t know it would escalate to this," Goldstein, who is Jewish, said. "I’ve lived in Canada most of my life minus the time I lived in the Middle East, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. I didn’t know how to handle it."

Goldstein mentioned that the event organizers asked her to issue a statement, supposedly in regard to her military service. While she didn’t officially make one, her hypothetical response would have been admirably defiant of the group’s woke agenda.

"The only statement I would make is I was very proud to serve, and if Israel needed a 55-year-old right now, I’d jump on a plane tomorrow," Goldstein said. "That’s the statement they’d get from me."

She further added that the group should exclude even attendees who have served in the Israeli military if they really wanted to be consistent.

"They’re just using the IDF as an excuse. Any person in Israel, it’s mandatory to do the service," Goldstein said. "You’ve served in the IDF. So they’re not invited to this either?"

Even though she’s never experienced anything like this before, she’s displayed the only correct mindset towards the people who tried to silence her just to cater to progressives.
