Providence Basketball Bizarrely Asked About Marital Status During Postgame Presser: VIDEO

Providence basketball coach Kim English was asked an all-time weird question Thursday.

The Friars pulled off a shocking 78-73 upset of Creighton in the Big East Tournament, and it's a massive win for the program.

The team is on the bubble, and the win over Creighton will be great for its resume. Will it be enough to get Providence in? Fans will find out Sunday, but what we do know is English sat through a wildly awkward moment after the matchup.

Kim English asked about marital status.

The Providence coach fielded a question that apparently a bunch of women wanted to know on social media:

Is he married or single?

No, that's not a joke. A reporter straight up asked English what his marital status is, and his reaction said it all without having to verbally say much. Watch the hilarious moment unfold below, and let me know your reactions at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Simply an incredible moment from start to finish. An elite question if I've ever heard one. Kim English has one of the biggest moments of his career and instead of focusing on the game, people are wondering if he's married.

This. Is. March.

For what it's worth, a quick Google search tells me Kim English was definitely married at some point and has two very young children. However, it's unclear whether or not he's still married.

A quick look at his Instagram doesn't show a wife. This is why the question had to be asked. People simply need to know.

Props to the reporter for the question and props to English for the hilarious reaction. Moments like this remind us just how fun and wild college sports can be.
