Joe Burrow 'Report' Gets Vicious X Community Note As Bengals QB Throws Passes

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow underwent season-ending wrist surgery on Nov. 27. It was the second time that Burrow had a season cut short because of injury. In his two healthy seasons, the Bengals reached the Super Bowl in one and the AFC Championship Game in the other.

There's no question that Burrow is one of the Top 3 quarterbacks in the NFL alongside Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. His presence on the field makes Cincinnati a perennial championship contender. But that requires him to stay healthy, something that he has struggled with in his four NFL seasons.

According to one "reporter," that's going to be even more difficult for Burrow following his latest injury. This "reporter" – who appears to be more of an aggregator account – posted on X (formerly Twitter) that "Joe Burrow’s wrist will ‘NEVER be the same,’ per discussion with my Cincinnati source this morning."

This person, John Frascella, got hit with a vicious community note on the social media platform.

"This person is lying for clicks and engagement," the first part of the note reads.

"Joe Burrow did not break a bone. He tore a ligament in his wrist. There is no bone that needs to 'grow,'" it continued.

Then, for good measure, a third note: "Joe’s surgery was done by world-renowned hand surgeon, Dr. Tom Graham, in Pennsylvania, not L.A."

Ouch. Community notes really are just the best, aren't they? Easily the best addition to the Elon Musk version of X/Twitter.

Joe Burrow throws passes during a Cincinnati Bengals workout Monday.

Anyway, Burrow returned to the practice field Monday and threw passes. His wrist looked good in that setting, for whatever that's worth.

Bengals fans were predictably thrilled to see their star quarterback on the field, even if it was without pads and a helmet.

But it also puts Burrow on track to be able to participate in training camp and the preseason this year, something the quarterback didn't do much of last season after injuring his calf in July.

The Bengals need a healthy Joe Burrow, but so does the NFL. The league is better when its best players are on the field. And Joe Burrow is one of the league's best players.
