Jason Kelce To Be Part Of WrestleMania This Weekend?

Jason Kelce: Super Bowl Champion, future NFL Hall of Famer and pro wrestler?

It might be happening as there are reports that the former Philadelphia Eagles center has had talks with the WWE to be involved ahead of this coming weekend's WrestleMania 40 event at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.

According to Sean Ross of Fightful Select, the WWE reached out to Kelce in recent days to either make an appearance or perhaps something even more for "The Greatest Spectacle In Sports Entertainment." It's important to note that Fightful has been right about many of its previous scoops in the past.

WWE HAS USED ATHLETES IN THE PAST

Involving Kelce would make perfect sense for the WWE.

First off, Jason and his brother Travis have quickly become two of the biggest sports personalities in the country right now, with their New Heights podcast consistently being the most listened to in the sports category. (It also doesn't hurt that Travis is dating someone named Taylor Swiift).

And we already know that Jason Kelce can pound beers just like Stone Cold Steve Austin used to.

And hell, he already has the luchadora wrestling mask that he stole from a kid during the Super Bowl!

OTHER NFL STARS INVOLVED IN WWE

The WWE has previously utilized professional athletes during their WrestleMania events.

Last year, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle ended up actually clotheslining Mike "The Miz" during his match against none other than former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee - who will be part of the broadcast booth this weekend as well.

Let's not forget Rob Gronkowski being a part of multiple WWE storylines - including winning the 24/7 Title during WrestleMania 36.

With Jason already expected to be one of the biggest sought sports media free agents - don't be surprised if we do see him at WrestleMania 40 this weekend. After all, the WWE has a partnership with NBC Peacock, which also does NFL Sunday Night Football and some playoff games.

Jason Kelce would fit in quite well for any sort of altcast or sports media content.
