Jalen Ramsey Throws Shade At Former DC Vic Fangio: 'I Won't Ever Forgive Dude'

News broke Friday that the Miami Dolphins plan to cut All-Pro cornerback Xavien Howard. And that stirred up some feelings for fellow Dolphins DB Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey reacted to the news on X, while seemingly throwing shade at Miami's former defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio.

"Shid be crazy how stuff plays out sometimes but 1 thing kino fa sho is that it was an honor teaming up with the GREATEST corner in @MiamiDolphins History in my opinion," Ramsey wrote.

He then added: "I won't ever forgive dude for not utilizing our full skillset!"

The three-time All-Pro didn't specify which "dude" he'll never forgive, but it seems obvious he's talking about Fangio, who spent one year as the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator in 2023. In January, Fangio and the Dolphins mutually agreed to part ways. The 65-year-old then accepted the DC role for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ramsey isn’t the first Dolphin to take a cryptic shot at Fangio.

On the same day Miami announced Fangio would not return in 2024, safety Jevon Holland posted an Instagram video of himself kicking rocks, which most people took as a knock on the coach.

Dolphins Plan To Cut CB Xavien Howard

Releasing Howard is mostly a financial decision for Miami. The four-time Pro Bowler has three years remaining on a five-year deal. But he's expensive, and the Dolphins are already struggling to get under the league's newly-increased salary cap.

Howard's $15.4 million salary for 2024 isn't guaranteed, and his cap hit would shoot up to $26 million next season after costing Miami $10 million against the cap in 2023.

Under Fangio, Howard recorded 45 tackles, one interception and 12 pass deflections across 13 games before he suffered a season-ending left foot injury in the team's New Year's Eve loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Drafted by Miami as a second-round pick in 2016, Howard is currently the longest-tenured Dolphin. He led the NFL in interceptions twice during his time with the team.
