Are Fans Cheering For LSU Or Iowa? Poll Shows Clear Answer
Fans are rocking with Iowa against LSU.
Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes face Kim Mulkey's Tigers in the Elite 8 Monday night, and it's the most-hyped women's basketball game of the year so far.
Clark is a generational talent who transcends women's basketball. She is also the highest-scoring player in major D1 basketball, and it's a ton of fun to watch her play.
On the other hand, LSU appears intent on embracing its haters and leaning into those who aren't fans. We even have Hailey Van Lith alleging there's a racial bias from fans. Of course, that's not true, but don't let facts stop a good rant.

I decided to take to X and ask people who they were cheering for in the matchup between two massive powers. The results weren't close at all.
Of the 4,114 voters, 80.8% voted in support of Clark and the Hawkeyes. Only 19.2% of fans voted in support of LSU. You can see the final results below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
I expected Iowa to win the poll, but I figured the margin would be razor-thin. After all, there are plenty of SEC and LSU fans on the site and who follow me on social media.
I was wrong. In fact, I wasn't even close to being correct with my early prediction. More than anything, this says more about Caitlin Clark than it does LSU, Angel Reese and the rest of Kim Mulkey's team.
Do the Tigers do things that drive people nuts? Yes - such as Flau’jae Johnson flippantly rapping about 9/11 - but more than anything, this is about Caitlin Clark.
People love the Iowa sensation. She's captivated the nation and helped elevate women's basketball to a new level. She's also simply a freak of nature. What has more range: Caitlin Clark or ICBMs?
She's in range the moment she crosses halfcourt.
