Georgia Quarterback Carson Beck: $300K Lamborghini Isn’t 'Too Big Of A Deal'

The era of name, image and likeness has ushered in a new era for college football players who can now afford things that they never would have imagined prior to 2021. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is no exception.

Beck, who passed up a chance to go to the NFL and will enter his second full season as the starter for the Bulldogs, famously purchased a Lamborghini Urus Performante last month that cost approximately $300,000. Beck met with the media Tuesday to preview Georgia’s spring practice season and commented on his new ride.

"I mean, yeah, it's not a big deal at all in my opinion. It's like I said. I love cars. I got a car. That's really all it is," Beck said. "Obviously a lot of people are going to look at it and say what a terrible decision, what a terrible choice with his money. But it's just a car. It's not too big of a deal. I just drive it around."

The new Lambo is a car-lover’s dream, but it wasn’t the car Beck dreamed of when he was growing up.

"I've always been car guy since I was a kid," he said. "I grew up always loving cars. My dream car when I was super, super young was always a Mustang. I've never had a Mustang, but I kinda grew out of it when I was 14 or 15. I've always been a huge car guy. Growing into that, and being able to associate myself with that brand, it's a large brand name. Being able to get that car, it's obviously a blessing. Being able to associate myself [with Lamborghini] and get that car, it's been awesome."

Beck is currently the Heisman Trophy favorite at +800 according to Caesars Sports Book, ahead of Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers (+850), Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel (+900) and the rest of the field.

If Beck can lead the Bulldogs to their third national championship in four seasons and/or win the Heisman Trophy, maybe he’ll finally get his dream car to park alongside his Lambo. That run will begin on August 31 in Atlanta when they square off against Clemson in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
