Mic Picks Up George Kittle Joking Around Instead Of Recovering Crucial Super Bowl Fumble: VIDEO

George Kittle wasn't overly focused during one of the most important plays of the Super Bowl against the Chiefs.

The 49ers and Kittle lost in overtime 25-22 in what was an instant classic of a Super Bowl. The play wasn't the highest quality, but the game was never out of reach for either team. Plus, who is ever going to complain about the Super Bowl going into overtime?

Well, the game might not have gone into overtime at all if George Kittle had been busy paying attention instead of seemingly messing around.

George Kittle wasn't paying attention on crucial Super Bowl fumble.

Video has been released of Kittle attempting to clown around with Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis on the play Christian McCaffrey fumbled in the first quarter.

The 49ers were building some serious momentum and it was quickly ended when McCaffrey's fumble was recovered by Karlaftis. Why was it recovered by Kansas City?

Well, one of the reasons is definitely because the 49ers star TE didn't realize it was right behind him because he was instead trying to mess around with Karlaftis.

"Hey, George," Kittle could be heard saying in a sarcastic tone on the video. Unfortunately for him, Karlaftis was paying attention and jumped on the fumble.

Tough look for George. Very tough look. The man was busy trying to mock/joke about George Karlaftis instead of *checks notes* finishing out the play.

This is the kind of stuff that wouldn't be acceptable for an eighth grade football player. You always play hard until you hear a whistle……unless you're George Kittle and it's comedy hour during Super Bowl LVIII.

Let the roasting commence!

Always finish the play, gentlemen. There's a time for fun and games, but it's not during a live ball situation in the first quarter of the Super Bowl.
