Geno Auriemma Chooses Words About Caitlin Clark Very Carefully In Funny Video

UConn coach Geno Auriemma doesn't want any beef with Caitlin Clark.

Clark and the Hawkeyes are coming off an incredible performance against LSU in the Elite 8 to punch a ticket to the Final Four. Clark specifically stood out as she poured 41 points on the Tigers in a revenge game that was absolutely epic.

Next up is UConn, and Auriemma is making sure he doesn't say a single word Clark can use to start a personal feud.

Geno Auriemma shares funny Caitlin Clark assessment.

"I hope Caitlin Clark had a personal agenda against LSU. And, I know there's nothing personal between me and her. I don't need to be seeing her drop 50 on us next weekend, you know? I love her. I think she's the best player. Forget I ever said Paige [Bueckers] is the best player in the country. I think she's the best player of all-time," Auriemma told the press ahead of the Final Four showdown.

Geno Auriemma is clearly a very smart man. A very smart man, indeed. Caitlin Clark humiliated LSU in a fashion that was honestly incredible.

No matter what LSU threw at her, Clark was able to take a blowtorch to it with ease. She had Hailey Van Lith looking like she'd never played high level basketball before.

Clark, the best player in the women's game, wanted revenge, and she made sure she got it.

Auriemma watched what the Iowa superstar did to LSU and has decided he doesn't want to risk setting her off at all. He chose his words very carefully.

An interesting angle for the Final Four game is that Caitlin Clark had serious interest in UConn as a high school recruit, but Geno went a different direction.

Now, he'll have to face her after she's become the most famous women's college basketball player in America.

Friday night is going to be a very fun game between the Huskies and Hawkeyes. Hit me up at David.Hookstead@outkick.com with your predictions.
