Future USWNT Manager Emma Hayes Shoves Opposing Coach Then Complains About Their 'Male Aggression'

Soccer manager Emma Hayes, who will soon take over for the USWNT, has taken issue with an opposing manager's "male aggression." The irony is that she voiced her complaint after walking over to the coach and shoving him after the final whistle.

Hayes currently manages Chelsea, and after the team's 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup final, the England native let her emotions fly as she grabbed Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall by the hips and pushed him backwards before leaving the pitch.

While Hayes putting her hands on Eidevall was a terrible look, perhaps the most egregious moment came after the fact while she was speaking with the media.

She explained that she didn't appreciate Eidevall's "male aggression" on the sideline, which is quite ironic given she shoved the man just minutes earlier.

"I’m not down for male aggression on the touchline, while adding that she was unhappy with what she called "fronting up with players."

"For me that's unacceptable and, yeah, I was disappointed, and I told Jonas that. I don't think it's OK to behave like that," Hayes continued.

To Eidevall's credit, he called Hayes out for her bizarre comments about being too ‘aggressive’ on the sidelines.

"I don’t see me as aggressive. She is irresponsible putting that label on it," he said.

Irresponsible is the perfect word to describe Hayes' actions after Chelsea's loss. Putting your hands on the opposing manager and shoving them and then trying to play some form of victim by complaining about male aggression was a very bold move, and not the good kind.

Hayes is set to take over the USWNT following the conclusion of Chelsea's season in the Super League. She'll be the woman in charge of leading the Americans into Paris for the Olympics.
