Did Star Boxer Awkwardly Hit On Reporter Or Was It A Big Misunderstanding?: VIDEO

The internet is convinced Francis Ngannou attempted to spit game at a reporter, but the tape might tell a different story.

Ngannou is in Saudi Arabia for his Friday fight against Anthony Johnson, and the matchup should be one of the most interesting of the year.

After all, the former UFC star went the distance with Tyson Fury, who is the best boxer on the planet. However, the fight isn't what's generating headlines.

It was a moment with reporter Olivia Buzaglo.

Did Francis Ngannou shoot his shot with Olivia Buzaglo?

A video clip shared by Happy Punch has a lot of people convinced the MMA fighter turned boxer was definitely hitting on Buzaglo.

"I have something else to do, which is you," Ngannou responded when asked by Buzaglo if he was going to watch an open workout.

The interaction convinced people that the star fighter was simply spitting game.

Even Buzaglo got in on the action with a viral response.

However, everyone seems to be missing a *MAJOR* part of the video. Once the mic is pulled back from Ngannou, he clearly can be heard faintly saying "the media."

While it would have been fun to claim he was bluntly shooting his shot, the tape doesn't lie. The mic just didn't fully pick him up.

What he fully said was, "I have something else to do, which is you. The media."

I get paid to call balls and strikes, and this isn't even a tough one for me. Just listen closely to the audio, and it's clear what he was saying and what he meant. Of course, the internet is a wild place and people run with all sorts of things without fully vetting it. We'll give him a pass this time around, especially because he has to focus on Friday.
