Former Broncos CB Chris Harris Takes Direct Shot At Russell Wilson
Old wounds.
Broncos players spoke up against the decision to cut Russell Wilson in Denver. On the flip side, there are now former teammates speaking out against Wilson, labeling him the prime issue behind the dysfunctional offense.
Former Broncos cornerback Chris Harris had harsh words for Wilson on social media on Saturday.

Harris reacted to the Broncos trading former first-round wideout Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. The Broncos shipped Jeudy for a pair of draft picks.
By most estimations, Denver made the right decision by abandoning Jeudy. But Chris Harris claimed it was Russ' fault that Jeudy never took off with his expectations in Denver.
"Yall people really think Jeudy Trash lol it’s hard to play when your QB misses you every week," Harris posted on X.

Harris backtracked when an X user reacted to his post, saying he was criticizing Wilson's contract in Denver, not his play.
Russell Wilson's Costly Departure
Denver's decision to cut Wilson leads to an $85 million cap hit. But Harris' words sounded critical of Wilson, blaming him for Jeudy's exit, as well.
In four seasons, Jeudy amassed 211 catches for 3,053 receiving yards and 11 TDs. He arrived at the NFL with expectations fit for a first-round wideout (No. 15) out of Alabama: sky-high.
Jeudy recorded his career year in 2022 — Russell Wilson's first season as QB1 in Denver.
The case could surely be made that Jeudy benefited from his connection with Wilson. Jeudy still failed to elevate his game, leading to a lackluster 2023 campaign full of frustration by the wideout.
Jeudy was one of the Broncos lamenting Wilson's departure, joining teammates Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick. The ex-first-rounder may not be in complete agreement with Harris' scathing reaction.
