Reds' Elly De La Cruz Runs Like He's On Fire For 'Inside the Park' Home Run

Cincinnati Reds ascending star Elly De La Cruz is back to making the highlight reel with absurd plays.

Last year's sensation made headlines for blasting mammoth home runs, hitting for the cycle and tallying inside-the-park runs with blazing-fast speeds.

On Monday, facing the Milwaukee Brewers, EDLC pulled off a ridiculous inside-the-park home run in the seventh inning, covering all bases in just 14.96 seconds.

Elly may be the fastest man alive.

If that doesn't sound fast, check out the highlight … don't blink!

WATCH:

Milwaukee's Sal Frelick dove for Elly's hit to center field but landed late and let the ball escape. Most players would have run for third and considered themselves lucky if they reached it in 14 seconds.

Elly, who's built different, went for home.

De La Cruz's maximum effort went a long way — helping Cincinnati edge the Brewers for an 10-8 win. Elly went 3 for 4, scoring four runs.

Monday's win at Great American Ball Park elevated the Reds to a 6-4 record.

With Elly De La Cruz and young ace Hunter Greene on the mound, Reds fans have plenty to look forward to in the future.
