Draymond Green Deserves Every Single Oscar For His Flopping Performance Against The Clippers

From this point forward, when the topic of best acting performance of all time is discussed, Draymond Green's effort against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday has to be a part of the conversation.

Green is one of the most emotional and dramatic professional athletes of all-time. While you can respect a guy for wearing his emotions on his sleeves in a world filled with robotic athletes, what this man did against the Clippers was one of the most insane things to ever occur on a basketball court.

Early in the third quarter of Wednesday night's contest, Green got tangled up with Clippers big man Ivica Zubac while battling for a rebound. In real-time it looked like Zubac may have caught Green with a forearm or elbow, but after watching the play a few times, the only player who threw out a forearm was Green.

With Zubac making contact with him and realizing there was no shot he was going to be able to get to the loose ball, Green elected to throw himself onto the court and roll around as if he had just been assaulted.

While the sell job from Green was impressive, the real magic of the moment came after he was already on the floor.

The referees rightfully didn't stop the action signaling that they knew all too well that Green was simply trying to sell the situation.

The Clippers got possession, went down the floor and missed a shot before the Warriors then came down to score a bucket with Green lying almost directly underneath the basket. The Clippers even got another possession and a quick dunk before Green got up off the floor.

After finally getting up, Green put the cherry on top of the situation by going down the tunnel to the locker room for a brief moment before returning to the game.

You simply can't teach effort like the effort we saw out of Green, great actors are born with talent like this.

Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic, who caught a wicked punch from Green resulting in a lengthy suspension by the NBA earlier this season, accused the Warriors' vet of getting soft.

Tough to argue with Nurkic on this one.
