DJ Uiagalelei Packs On Serious Weight At Florida State: REPORT

DJ Uiagalelei has packed on some pounds since joining the Florida State Seminoles.

Uiagalelei will be QB1 for the Seminoles this season after getting his start at Clemson and then spending last season with Oregon State.

FSU fans are hoping he can slide right into the void left by Jordan Travis, and help Mike Norvell's team continue to win at a high level.

While there's still several months until the season starts, spring practices are underway across the country, and that means roster information is coming out.

DJ Uiagalelei is a huge quarterback.

Turns out that Uiagalelei has put on some significant weight since getting to Tallahassee. Logan Robinson reported that the Seminoles checked in at 255 pounds for spring football.

That's a gain of 10 pounds in a short period of time at FSU.

It's also a significant gain in weight from where DJ Uiagalelei was just a couple years ago. He played his final season at Clemson in 2022, and was listed at 235 pounds.

Now, it's roughly a year and a half later, and the QB weighs 255 pounds with spring ball underway for the Seminoles. Whether good weight or bad weight, it's a significant increase.

Some might jump in and suggest it's bad. I have no idea if it's muscle or not. What I do know is a college QB weighing 255 pounds is a *BIG* guy.

There aren't too many NFL QBs who have ever been that big. Cam Newton was only listed at 245 pounds.

We'll see how he does with the Seminoles, but it appears changes are definitely already underway. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
