North Carolina State Star Has An Incredible Side Hustle

North Carolina State basketball star DJ Burns has the entrepreneurial spirit in him.

Burns and the Wolfpack are in the Sweet 16 against Marquette this Friday, and fans are excited. The team has performed at an insanely high level since winning the ACC Tournament.

Does the program have its eighth straight win in it? That remains to be seen, but what we do know for sure is that Burns is pretty business savvy.

DJ Burns owns vending machines.

Burns revealed in an interview with "Pardon my Take" that he owns two vending machines, and got into the side hustle because he wanted to look for new ways to make money.

It's important to be more than one dimensional, as Burns noted, and that's exactly what he's doing. Check out his cool comments and explanation below, and let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

I love everything about Burns being in the vending machine business. It's a very unexpected side hustle, but I love it. How much money might he be making?

A quick Google search tells me a solid average per vending machine is right around $450 a month. That number definitely can be impacted depending on where it is and what it's selling, but let's just say that it's a safe average projection.

That means Burns could be making an extra $900 a month to do nothing other than making sure his vending machines are stocked and able to move products.

It's a very simple and, yet, efficient way to make money without doing much work.

It's always great to see young athletes who are putting in the work to make money. Props to Burns for the business mindset. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
