Derrick Henry Shares All-Time Nick Saban Prayer Celebration Story: VIDEO

Derrick Henry recently dropped an all-time story about Nick Saban.

There have been plenty of stories that have surfaced about Saban following his decision to retire as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

It seems like every single player or coach who spent time with him in Tuscaloosa has a fun one to share. Well, buckle up because the former Alabama running back has one hell of a great one.

Nick Saban ripped players for prayer celebrations.

Henry, who recently inked a deal with the Ravens, was one of the best players in Alabama, and spent plenty of time in the end zone. When players score, they like to celebrate. Well, Saban was a bit confused by guys doing prayer celebrations…..when he knew they'd be out drinking and chasing women after the game.

"Coach Saban, he old school. Couldn’t stand if anybody scoring and wanted to celebrate afterward. So, we were in a meeting after a game. Can't remember who he played. He pulled up film and show everybody. ‘You guys, stop doing that showboating, doing all that prayer hands, acting like you thanking God. Later on that night, 12 o’clock, you down there (with) Black & Milds. Got liquor and chasing (girls). Forget all that,'" Henry said during an appearance "The Pivot" podcast.

This is without question one of the funniest Saban stories that has been shared since he retired. Simply incredible, and I can hear it in my head exactly how he said it.

Now, I'm sure some woke losers will try to spin this that Saban doesn't like prayer celebrations. Don't even think about going down that path. That's not what Saban was saying at all.

He was roasting and dragging his players for throwing up some praying hands and then hitting the bars and chasing females later that same night. If you don't understand the humor of Saban making that argument against their celebrations, then you simply don't know great comedy when you see it.

While Saban's coaching days are behind him, I sincerely hope we never stop hearing these stories from him. The man is a legend and a true content king. He has seven national title rings, and has given fans some truly epic moments over the years. He's apparently even more entertaining behind closed doors.
