Deion Sanders Adds Former NFL Superstar To Staff

Deion Sanders is beefing up his Colorado staff, and using a little NFL talent to get the job done.

There's long been whispers that Warren Sapp was going to join Coach Prime's staff in Boulder, and it's officially a done deal.

The NFL Hall of Fame member was introduced as a senior quality control analyst. The show goes on in Boulder with a new big name in town.

Deion Sanders adds Warren Sapp to his staff.

First off, I think I'm obligated to note that Warren Sapp isn't a huge fan of OutKick star Joe Kinsey and loves to beef with him. You simply have to wonder how much time that will eat up for the new Colorado staffer.

Can Sapp be focused on winning on the field if he also has to worry about hostilities restarting with OutKick at any given time? It's the Korean peninsula played out in college football.

Having said that, you definitely can't say Sanders isn't entertaining. Is winning just four games in year one ideal? Not at all, especially considering the team went 1-8 in the final nine games.

However, he certainly makes sure things stay fun and interesting. His son is a legit celebrity at QB, and he now has Warren Sapp on his staff in Boulder.

Is he the solution after an abysmal inaugural season with the Buffaloes? Call me skeptical. Call me very skeptical, but we'll all find out soon enough.

Will Sanders have more success in year two? Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
